Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek will a start an official four-day visit to Kazakhstan on Tuesday during which he will endeavor to strengthen cooperation in areas such as pharmacy, information and telecommunication technologies, construction and engineering.
These fields were identified as promising at the October session of the Slovenia-Kazakhstan commission for economic cooperation in Ljubljana.
Moreover highlighted were modern solutions in energy, ecology, engineering, the food industry and tourism, the Economy Ministry wrote.
Minister Počivalšek will meet representatives of the Kazakhstani ministries for the economy, health, culture and sport, investment and development.
He will moreover attend a Slovenia-Kazakhstan business forum and the Expo 2017 exhibition hosted by Astana.
Slovenia is not participating in this year’s Expo, as it decided to focus on Expo 2020, which will take place in Dubai.
