200 Thousand People Have Visited the Vinarium Observation Tower for 2 Years
The highest observation tower in Slovenia is located in the village of Lendavske Gorice. It was opened in September 2015 and immediately attracted the attention of both tourists and residents of the country. The height of the tower is 53.5 metres. The successful location offers a panoramic view not only to the territory of Slovenia, but also to Hungary, Austria and Croatia. There is also a restaurant and a wine cellar.
The Mayor of the Lendava Municipality Anton Balažek notes that the number of guests for the first 2 years is much higher than the planned figure. The anniversary 200 thousandth visitor was Bojan Gojkošek from Maribor. As a gift, he received a travel certificate to the Terme Lendava Resort as well as a trip to Vienna.
In 2016, the Slovenian Tourism Board awarded the Municipality of Lendava for the Vinarium Tower project with the Sejalec Prize. The prize is presented to the most innovative tourism projects. The tower attracted representatives of the Board by the fact that it overlooks four countries.
