Representatives of 2TM Sign a Number of Agreements on Cooperation with Moscow Leading Universities During the Participation in MITT 2018

Since 13 March 2018, the Moscow Expocentre has been hosting the 25th International Travel & Tourism Exhibition MITT. This is the largest and the only B2B event that unites representatives of tourism business from all over the world. The 2TM Company is represented at the exhibition by a delegation including the company’s employees and representatives of the industry related faculties of the leading educational institutions of Slovenia—the universities of Maribor and Nova Gorica, as well as the employees of the educational centre in Velenje.

Despite the size of the exhibition, which is located in 7 huge pavilions, the 2TM booth enjoys much attention and great interest of visitors. As noted by Marina Kosheleva, the Company’s manager, this year there are much more educational agencies of different countries and regions among the visitors of the tourism exhibition. The participating companies include Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and the Republic of Tatarstan. Besides, there are representatives from a wide range of Russian cities, such as Krasnoyarsk, Rostov-na-Donu, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Nizhny Novgorod and many others.

“This is our target audience in terms of partnership. A positive aspect is that representatives of universities and colleges came to the exhibition with their students, that is, again, with our target audience. It is also interesting that visitors who already know Slovenia came to see our booth,” Marina says.

It is worth noting that representatives of Moscow educational institutions carefully studied the 2TM booth. Therefore, for two days of the exhibition, our booth was visited by teachers and students of the Moscow State Institute for the Industry of Tourism n. a. Yuri Senkevich, Academy of Social Management, Humanitarian Institute, Moscow State University of Communication Means, Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies, as well as the Moscow School of Economics and the Moscow Vocational College.

“The exhibition is still going on, but we already have significant achievements. We negotiated with Russian educational institutions with subsequent signing of letters of intent. Moreover, the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor plans to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies,” says a representative of the 2TM delegation, Marina Ryzhkova. She stresses that this achievement is of great importance for both sides of the agreement. Tourism in Russia is developing rapidly, demanding more and more professional personnel, including specialists with foreign experience.

“We guarantee a high quality of specialists training in all areas of tourism (hotel tourism, management, wellness, cooking). Besides theoretical knowledge, our students have a lot of practice while studying in Slovenia. It should be emphasized that the visitors of our booth consider the prices for education in Slovenia to be affordable and comparable to those in Russia. At the same time, a very important issue for them is the fact that our graduates receive a European diploma,” says Tanya Gantar, a 2TM participant of the exhibition.

It is worth recalling that the MITT 2018 Exhibition will finish today, so everyone has an opportunity to get acquainted with the 2TM booth and get informative consultations on the issues of obtaining education in Slovenia.
