A Charity Evening Run to Be Held in Ljubljana as Part of the European Sport Week
On 23-30 September, the European Sport Week is held in the EU countries. The purpose of the action being held under the slogan – Be Active, Be Healthy – is to encourage Europeans to lead a healthy lifestyle, including doing sports, because maintaining and strengthening health is an element of social inclusion of a person.
As part of this campaign, numerous free open-air events are held throughout Slovenia: gymnastics, game-oriented sports, presentations of different kinds of sport, expert meetings, etc. Everyone can participate in the event regardless of gender, age and physical condition. Registration for participation is also possible on the day of the event.
In particular, a charity evening run at a distance of 400 metres will be held on the Congress Square in Ljubljana on 28 September 2019 at 06:00 p.m. Following the results of the sporting event, students from socially disadvantaged families will be awarded. The funds are provided by the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and sponsors.
