The Ljubljana’s Trnovo district authorities plan to demolish an old kindergarten building in the Karunova Street and build a new one instead. The completion of works is planned by 2020. This was reported in the Municipal Department of Pre-school Education.
Twelve sections will operate in the new kindergarten. In the erected building, as before, there will be an infant-feeding centre for 2–4-year-old children and game rooms for 2–6 year-old children with separate playgrounds. The commissioning of the new facility will allow the institution to maintain the current number of children.
As specified in the municipality, the work budget will be almost 5 million euros. The architectural design of the new kindergarten will be approved in early 2019. During its development, emphasis will be placed on advanced and environmentally friendly solutions, as stressed by officials. The construction of the building is scheduled for the end of 2019.
