A Project by the Faculty of Applied Social Studies of the University of Nova Gorica Receives Funding from the State Agency for Scientific Research

A project by the Faculty of Applied Social Studies of the University of Nova Gorica called Promoting Social and Environmental Sustainability: Studying and Predicting Responsible Behaviour in Slovenia received funding from the State Agency for Scientific Research. The decision in favour of this faculty was made following the results of an open tender under conditions of high competition and a large number of applications from research institutes.

The project, the implementation of which is designed for 3 years, is focused on the micro-level of responsible actions in the Slovenian national environment and is also integrated into the European and global context. The main research problem is associated with the identification of factors affecting the responsible behaviour of the population of Slovenia, which makes it possible to solve the wider social problems of sustainable development and contribute to the improvement of scientific approaches and knowledge.

The main goal of the project is to use theory to develop a model of factors affecting the responsible behaviour of the population of Slovenia. The latter will be a tool for generating scenarios and simulations, as well as a guide to action when performing political steps at the macro level that can contribute to responsible behaviour.
