A Russian Businessman to Develop a Hotel in the Triglav National Park
The Pristava Hotel in the territory of Triglav National Park was purchased by Besta Consulting owned by the Russian businessman Alexei Shitov. The object worth 1.7 million euros is located in a small mountain valley at the confluence of the Lepena and Soča rivers.
Having purchased the hotel, the new owners rolled up their sleeves. Before the Easter holidays, they plan to equip the local resort houses. Later they plan to build two VIP resort houses.
For the last six years, Shitov has mainly lived in Koper. Last year he invested in tourism. According to the businessman, he studied investment opportunities in the Upper Soča Valley for several years, and eventually found them in the elite area of the Triglav National Park. The initial cost of the Pristava Hotel was 2.4 million euros. According to the results of the two-year tender, Alexei Shitov, through his own Besta Consulting Company, purchased the object within the process of the Levant Company merger. Spouses Milan and Silvia Dolenc sold it without debts.
Besta Consulting has been operating since 2014. Shitov has engaged his relative Rinat Zakirov to participate in the project. Until the middle of the spring 2018, they plan to improve the interior of the houses, investing around 250 thousand euros therein. A permission for the construction of new houses has also been received.
The Russian owners have already opened the Hotel for tourists for the New Year holidays and received guests from Singapore and Turkey. However, Shitov suggests that most hotel visitors will come from the UK, the USA and Latin American countries, as he plans to continue cooperation with a network of local travel agencies.
