A School in Maribor Is Awarded the Title of the Best Cultural School in Slovenia
The official ceremony took place in the Louis Adamič Elementary School in Grosuplje. The Jank Moder School from Dol pri Ljubljani was awarded the title in the category of high schools. The Griže School was declared the best among secondary schools.
The Planina pri Sevnici Elementary School was awarded for its high achievements in choral art. The Franjo Malgaja Šentjur Elementary School was award for its success in theatrical art. The Gustav Šilih Elementary School in the village of Laporje was awarded for its achievements in puppetry, and the Prežihovega Voranca Elementary School in Maribor was distinguished for its achievements in folklore art.
The Antona Aškerec Elementary School in Rimske Toplice received the award for high achievements in contemporary dancing. The Center Elementary School from Novo Mesto was awarded for its success in filmmaking and video art. The Jože Gorjup Elementary School from the village of Kostanjevica na Krki was awarded the title for its achievements in fine art. The Fran Roš Elementary School from Celje received the award for its success in literature.
The commission also presented three special awards: the award for high achievements in teacher training went to the Brežice Elementary School, the award for success in cultural heritage protection and teacher training went to the Lava Elementary School (Celje), and the award for a comprehensive approach to cultural events was presented to the Vida Pregarc Elementary School from Ljubljana.
