A Slovene Becomes the Youngest World Champion in the History of Boxing
A Slovenian professional boxer Ema Kozin won the title of Wiba World Champion and defended her WBF title. She “disarmed” her opponent in the final match in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) during the first round, and in the third round, she celebrated the victory. Ema Kozin won in all her 12 professional fights, six times by knockout.
As the youngest world champion says herself, her victories have not passed unnoticed. The sportswoman has already received several proposals for holding fights in the USA. Her coach Rudolf Pavlin expects confirmation for the first fight in the first half of next year.
Ema Kozin is a first-year student at the University of Ljubljana. The girl is studying at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. In her weight category (up to 72.6 kg), she ranks fourth in the world. After the triumph in Banja Luka, Ema Kozin faces the prospect of fighting with more titled opponents. For example, with a 27-year-old boxer Christine Hammer, the first rating number in the category of up to 72.6 kg. The German has 22 wins (10 of them by knockout) and zero defeats. Ema Kozin is also behind the 31-year-old Americans Kali Reis (13 wins, 6 defeats) and Alicia Napoleon (8 wins, 1 defeat).
