A Slovene Wins Bronze Medal at the European Open Championship in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Slovenian Maja Povšnar took third place at the European Open Championship in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which has recently ended in Rome. The Slovene performed in the category of up to 61.5 kg.

Povšnar had previously won the high titles of the European champion and the world champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. At the end of November 2019, she will have a new important start – the world championship in Abu Dhabi.

Maja Povšnar hails from the small village of Kokra pri Preddvoru, Gorenjska region. The talented athlete is financially supported by the Preddvor municipality and Frankstahl d.o.o.
