About 3,500 Freshmen Begin Their Studies at the University of Maribor

On Monday, 1 October 2018, a new academic year started in the University of Maribor, as well as in other universities of Slovenia. For freshmen, the university prepared a special package (in Slovene: bruc paket) with basic information materials about studying at the University of Maribor. The package also includes a guide for students intended to assist newcomers in their adaptation to the educational process.

The University of Maribor consists of 19 structural units – 17 faculties, libraries and hostel management. It has approximately 13,500 students. It is the second largest university of Slovenia after the University of Ljubljana.

During the winter semester, 464 foreign students from 29 countries representing partner universities will also study at the University of Maribor within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange programme.
