Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Visits the University of Nova Gorica
As part of the First International VITI-ENO Day in the University of Nova Gorica, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Slovenia Her Excellency Mrs. Marion Parada addressed the audience. The high-ranking guest was greeted by the pro-rector for scientific work and culture of the University of Nova Gorica Professor Gvido Bratina.
The First International VITI-ENO Day was organized by the Wine Research Centre (WRC) (Slovene: Center za raziskave vina (CRV)) and the Higher School of Viticulture and Winemaking (Slovene: VŠVV-Visoka šola za vinogradništvo in vinarstvo Univerza v Novi Gorici) to exchange their knowledge in the field of viticulture and winemaking between scientists, specialists and winemakers in Slovenia and abroad.
The event entitled “French-Slovenian Day of Winemaking” (Slovene: Francosko-slovenski enološki dan) focused on the strategic partnership of France and Slovenia. Four French scientists from the universities of Bordeaux and Montpellier were invited to participate as main lecturers. Slovenian and French specialists working in Slovenia represented their materials. The materials of lectures in the most accessible form told about the latest scientific discoveries.
