An Employee of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, University of Nova Gorica, Receives a Grant from the European Council for Scientific Research
An employee of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education at the University of Nova Gorica, Prof. Nejc Hodnik (a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry, Department of Catalysis and Reaction Engineering) received the ERC Starting Grant 2019 from the European Council for Scientific Research. The grant is provided to researchers at the start of their professional career.
A new project of the European Council for Scientific Research entitled ‘Towards Nanostructured Electrocatalysts with Superior Stability’ or ‘123STABLE’ in short explores how the atomic structure of electrocatalyst nanoparticles changes when working in low-temperature fuel cells and electrolysers.
The acquired knowledge will become the basis for creating new stable structures of catalyst nanoparticles. This, in turn, will lead to the development of modern and advanced catalysts, which is an important contribution to the development of the hydrogen economy.
