Another Olympic Medal Won by the Slovenian National Team

After a gold medal won by the judokas Tina Trstenjak (the category of up to 63 kg) and a silver medal won by Peter Kauzer (kayak singles, canoeing in rough water), it is a turn of the “bronze” success. A lucky women’s judo and as a result a success of Anamari Klementina Velenšek, who entered the judo mat, despite a small knee injury, and won the bronze medal.

During the first round, she gained the upper hand over the Ukrainian Victoria Turks, in the quarterfinals she knocked out the Cuban (Yalennis Castillo, who could not withstand an effective hold performed by the Slovene. In the evening semifinals the judoka yielded to the American Kaylee Harrison and in the final match she beat the German Luise Malzahn and won the bronze.
