B.A. Photography

The studies are conducted in small learning groups and a friendly and personal atmosphere. The students will be led by renowned photographers at a centrally located campus, equipped with the latest technology – photo studio, print and scan lab, darkroom, camera equipment, MacPools. The campus is known for its international and English-speaking character.

Depending on the student’s career goals, they will select the specializations and choose from various interdisciplinary subjects. The programmes taught at the University also include practical projects with top partners from the creative industry and field trips and exhibitions to Paris, New York, Vietnam, Iceland etc. which will prepare graduates for their dream job. As a photography graduates, they learn how to translate ideas and emotions into complex images under professional conditions.

B.A. Film & Motion Design

The Film & Motion Design course prepare careers in the fields of film, animation, design, scenography, and media art, and the graduates can work in the professional areas of motion, digital, or film design.

They are trained to work in agencies, television stations, film and game productions, entertainment industry, fine arts, advertising, knowledge transfer, media staging of music, trade fairs, theatre and event stages.

B.A.Illustration

With a bachelor’s degree in illustration, the graduates have the opportunity to start their professional life at editorial offices, advertising agencies, design offices, publishing houses, museums, game and film productions.

Depending on the specialization, the tasks range from providing content for magazine pages to advertising campaigns, from infographics to scientific illustration, or from packaging design to concept art for computer games.

M.A. Media Spaces

Master’s degree in Media Spaces allows students to enter the professional world in the following areas: installations, 3D moving pictures and guidance systems about brand presentations, set design, theatre design, stage design, fine arts installations, scenographic design, live performances design, play places, architecture/ interior design, exhibition, and event design up to the mapping of “data spaces” and the generation of scientific visualizations.

M.A. Photography

The master’s programme aims to help students develop their specific visual language that you can use for applied or artistic work. The core curriculum, therefore, consists of two experimental projects that they work on independently. A considerable portion of the programme focuses on the analysis of narrative perspectives and their structure and visual storytelling to train the capacity for self-reflection as an artist.

The student will have the opportunity to actively shape their studies and career path by choosing specializations and selecting courses from various interdisciplinary subjects. Professionals will support their progress, helping them develop their distinct signature and refine their talents and strengths. The master’s programme includes practical projects led by distinguished photographers and artists and international study trips and workshops in New York, Iceland, or different cities in Asia.

M.A. Visual & Experiance Design

In the Visual & Experience Design master’s programme, students will understand innovations in digital, computational, and physical interactions that permeate our daily lives. All topics will be delivered in sequential clusters, allowing the students to acquire and apply theories to real contexts and envision entirely new scenarios. Modules will focus on creative approaches to visual design, the value of cultural diversity in an age of globalized markets, and the deep-spectrum approaches to designing for social media and digital ecosystems.

This course will focus on the critical awareness of the balance between creative, commercial, and business considerations to develop visual narratives using various tools and graphic elements. The students will also create briefs for research-driven projects and innovative approaches to business. Modules will emphasize designers’ changing role in the sphere of the algorithmic process that mediates the interactions in digital spaces, where adaptive thinking and human-centered content creation are the true currencies of contemporary designers.

Comprehensive disruption through digitization, changing marketplaces, and consumer behavior have created a new professional playing field between creative design, business strategy, and IT development. Innovation-centered companies increasingly look for managers who understand how to use design as a prominent driving factor behind business decisions and how to incorporate right-brain-thinking and an artistic attitude in business, as strategic assets in the generation of innovation and sustainable consumer-value, and in the transformation of a companies’ organization and vision.

This new Master programme “Innovation Design Management,” is positioned right at the intersection of design and business. It wants to shape individuals who accept these complex, fast-paced challenges and who take an integrated approach with strategies that combine the best of design, business, and technology. This is, among others, accomplished through a range of intense project activities that will be held in close cooperation with leading industry professionals and actual enterprises who face these same challenges.
