Ćevapčići — a Traditional Dish of the Balkan Cuisine
Ćevapčići has to be prepared exclusively from beef.
- 2 kg ground beef
- 20 cloves of garlic
- a pinch of baking soda
- dark beer (for example, 2 g/l)
Put ground beef in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, add pressed garlic, and mix well. Evenly sprinkle baking soda over the mixture to make it more compact and elastic. Mix well and put aside (preferably overnight). Form a čevapčiče (a type of skinless sausage) or a pleskavice (a type of grilled patty) and grill them.
Beef čevapčiče is a natural meat product that does not cause heaviness in the stomach.
