Cooperation of the University of Ljubljana and the Eötvös Loránd University
The representatives of the University of Ljubljana and the Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary) held a working meeting in Budapest on Friday, 23 September 2016. At the end of the event, two universities signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
For several years, the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) has been cooperating with the Faculty of Pedagogy, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana. The representatives of the Hungarian University seek to expand cooperation with other structural units of the University of Ljubljana. First of all, the Hungarian side is interested in the development of international student and teacher exchange programs.
The ELTE was opened in 1915 and combines eight faculties. The University has the highest estimates in teaching of natural sciences, physics and biology. The ELTE offers 55 Bachelor’s degree programs in English, and takes place between 300 and 400 in the Shanghai ranking of the best universities. The University cooperates with the BOSCH and TESLA companies in the field of smart car development.
