Cuisine of Slovenia’s Regions: Ringlšpil – Chicken Fillet in Sauce with Spices and Parmesan
Cooking time: 30 minutes.
- 500 g chicken fillet,
- 2 tbsp butter,
- 3 tbsp olive oil,
- 1 tsp basil,
- 1 tsp thyme, oregano and marjoram,
- 40 g finely chopped Parmesan cheese,
- 300 mL cream,
- 1 tbsp ground sweet red pepper,
- 10 mint leaves,
- 0.5 cube of beef broth.
Melt butter and olive oil in a pan. For a stable aroma, add dry seasoning and mix. Add finely chopped Parmesan cheese, cream and 0.5 cube of beef broth. Cook over low heat, stirring to thicken the sauce, and then add salt, black pepper and ground bell pepper to taste. At the end, add mint leaves and hold on low heat for another 1 minute.
Bake fast chicken steaks in a grill pan, pour with the sauce and serve with rice.
