Domzale vs Marseille Play a Draw 1:1
On Thursday, 10 thousand spectators witnessed an excellent football show at the Stožice Arena. The result of the UEFA Europa League play-off match holds out a hope of entering the regular season for the Slovenians. A second match will be held in France.
Domžale footballers showed a quality game during the play-off round with Marseille. For the first time in a long period, the Stožice Arena has gathered such a great number of football fans. More than 10 thousand spectators watched a dynamic football play, which ended with a score of 1:1.
Thanks to a skilful passing by Senijad Ibričić, who had previously played for Hajduk Split Club (Croatia), Amedej Vetrih managed to score a goal.
The Domžale players were controlling the field for a long time having saved two dangerous kicks of the French footballers. However, in the 63rd minute of the match, Sanson drove the ball into the Slovenians’ net.
The repeated match for the right to participate in the group round of the Europa League will be held on 24 August in France.
The Domžale Club has a history of 96 years, but it has never had a match like yesterday.
