Eva Terčelj Takes Third Place at the Kayaking World Cup Stage
Slovenian kayaker Eva Terčelj won the third place in whitewater slalom at the World Cup stage in Markkleeberg, losing 5.32 seconds to the winner—the German Ricarda Funk. Second place belongs to the Australian rower Jessica Fox, lagging behind the leader by 2.46 seconds. Urša Kragelj is the 29th.
In the men’s finals on whitewater slalom, Benjamin Savšek lacked a whit of luck being behind the bronze medallist, the British Adam Burgess, by 0.17 seconds. The Slovak Michal Martikan and the German canoeist Sideris Tasiadis occupied the first two places on the podium. Anže Berčič also participated in the final race and eventually took the eighth place. Luka Božič crashed out in the semifinals, showing the 15th result, while Jure Lenračič left the World Cup stage in the qualifying round.
