Everyone Is Welcome to Take Free Tours around Ljubljana as Part of the International Guide Day

On Thursday, 21 February 2019, the tour operator Turizem Ljubljana invites everyone to take part in two free tours around the city – Tales of Ljubljana Bridges and Walk Along Cankar Road – as part of the International Guide Day.

During the first tour, its participants, along with the guide, will walk from the Fabiani Bridge to the Hradecky Bridge, see the oldest and modern bridges of the city, familiarise themselves with their history and architecture. In addition, sightseers will learn about the life of the city in past centuries, closely connected with the local river.

The participants of the second tour will visit the places where the Slovenian writer, poet and playwright Ivan Cankar lived – Poljanski Nasip, Streliška Street, Vodnikov trg, Stari trg, Breg and Kongresni trg. The tour will begin from Krekov trg near the building of the Slovenian tourist information centre, and will finish near the building of the National Gallery.

The duration of both tours is 2 hours. The first tour starts at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the second tour – at 12:00 midday and 4:00 p.m. Participation in tours is free. The number of participants is limited. Therefore, the preliminary registration is required.
