Famous German F1 Driver Ralf Schumacher Becomes the Official Slovenian Wine Ambassador
The famous German Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, the younger brother of the legendary Michael Schumacher, is delighted with the Slovenian grapes. This year, in the wine making region of Goriška Brda, in the presence of journalists, he helped local farmers harvest their crops. Ralf Schumacher picked several kilograms of Rebula grapes for the production of wine, which is served in his Mediterranean restaurant Schumachers in the town of Bergheim in the suburbs of Cologne.
This time, Ralf Schumacher has agreed to an even more intensive cooperation with Slovenian winegrowers and became the official ambassador of the Rebola wine. According to him, the reason is simple – he likes the taste of Rebola and he was looking for light quality wine to serve in his restaurant.
In Germany, Slovenian wines are still not popular enough, so Ralf Schumacher has gladly accepted the status of a promoter of the noble Slovenian-made drink. He has also selected classic champagne, Sauvignon, Chardonnay Barrique, Pinot Nero, Cabernet Franc and Picolit for his new Schumacher Selection brand.
