Free Summer School Energetika.NET (3–6 July 2017)

On 3–6 July 2017, the media house Montel Energetika.NET and Energija Plus Company will hold a free summer school, which welcomes the youth to the world of power engineering and career prospects every year. This year, the summer school will be devoted to marketing, communication and journalism in the field of power engineering. Pupils and students of any study programs are invited to participate in it.

The Summer School of Marketing and Journalism Energetika.NET mainly focuses on studying the issues of communication in the energy sector. It is designed for young people who are engaged in different study programs in both Natural Sciences and Humanities. Organisers note that “in search of ideas and solutions to energy problems faced by large energy companies, sometimes a desire to learn and improve, creativity, proactivity, perseverance, openness, motivation and, of course, energy are of greater importance than knowledge.” A full range of these issues will be considered during this Summer School. The managerial and sponsor support for the School is provided by the SODO, Energija plus and Montel Energetika.NET companies.

The majority of the previous summer schools’ participants have successfully started their careers,” notes Alenka Žumbar, the editor-in-chief of the media house Montel Energetike.NET. “Summer school is an excellent opportunity to establish business ties between participants and potential employers. Young people learn about the situation in the energy sector from the first mouth, solving specific problems within the Summer School program.” At the end, children will present their solutions to the School partners, who, perhaps, one day will become their employers. One of the participants of the last year’s Summer School shared her experience, “The Summer School offered its participants a number of problems faced by the large energy companies. Together with my colleague, we were looking for a solution to the issue related to the European Green Capital 2016 project, and developed a part of its program. The School literally opened to me many doors in the field of energy and gave me an opportunity to find the first job.”

In addition to the prospects for a successful career start, two participants, who will offer the best solution to the problem in question, will receive an award and the right to participate in the prestigious Summer School under the auspices of the REIC organization, which will be held in Fojnica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) at the end of August. All participants of the Energetika.NET Summer School will receive personal certificates upon its completion.

The extensive sponsorship support allows the Energetika.NET Summer School to select candidates free of charge, who can send their CVs and motivation letter at urednica@energetika.net until 20 June 2017. Application is available for students of colleges and universities, future sociologists, physicists, biologists, electrical engineers, biotechnical engineers, historians, psychologists, mass communication specialists, marketing specialists, PR managers, journalists, economists, and political scientists.

Candidates, who got the right to participate in the Summer School, will receive a notification until 23 June 2017.
