German Company Carthago Opens a New Manufacturing Workshop in Northeast Slovenia

German company Carthago, a manufacturer of camping cars, has opened a new manufacturing workshop in the settlement of Odranci (Prekmurje region) to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of operating in Slovenia.

The opening ceremony, held on Thursday, 28 October 2018, was attended by the founder and owner of the Carthago Group, Karl-Heinz Schuler, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek, the Mayor of the settlement of Odranci, Ivan Marko, the German Ambassador to Slovenia, Klaus Riedel, and the Head of G+S, Sitz+Polstermöbel GmbH, Gernot Schank.

Carthago has been operating in the Slovenian market since spring 2006. The company manufactured 77 camping cars for the first year of its operation, while this year, it has already manufactured 20,000 camping cars.

The Carthago subsidiary has 770 employees. The total turnover of the subsidiary in the 2017/2018 fiscal year was 180 million euros (20% more than in the 2016/2017 fiscal year).
