Graduates from the Faculty of Applied Social Studies at the University of Nova Gorica Receive Diplomas and Merit Certificates
On Wednesday, 7 June 2019, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to the graduates of the Faculty of Applied Social Studies at the University of Nova Gorica took place in the municipality of Nova Gorica.
During the ceremony, 12 merit certificates were also awarded – 6 certificates were presented to the faculty members and 6 – to the authors of the best theses written from June 2016 to May 2019. Titles and awards were presented for outstanding achievements, success and merits in research, teaching and professional activities that make a significant contribution to the overall development of the faculty. Students received certificates for the best theses and important research achievements.
Thus, Olga Ambrožič received a merit certificate for the best thesis in Psychosocial Assistance written in the 2015/2016 academic year. Arnela Karat received a merit certificate for the best thesis in Applied Social Studies accomplished in the 2017/2018 academic year. Eva Černigoj was awarded a merit certificate for the best Master’s thesis in Intercultural Management performed in the 2017/2018 academic year. Maja Brešan received a merit certificate for the best Master’s thesis in Intercultural Management written in the 2016/2017 academic year. A merit certificate for the best PhD thesis in Sociology completed in the 2017/2018 academic year was presented to Dr Petra Kleindienst. A merit certificate for the best PhD thesis in Sociology accomplished in the 2018/2019 academic year went to Dr Urška Fric.
A merit certificate for research and teaching work was presented to Prof. Dr Mateya Rek, for pedagogical work – to Assoc. Prof. Dr Tjaša Stepišnik Perdih, for research work – to Assoc. Prof. Dr Tea Golob. An employee of the Dean’s Office, Natali Vuk Birsa, the Head of the Finance and Accounting Department Divna Vidmar, the Faculty’s First Secretary Klara Remec were awarded merit certificates for their contribution to the quality improvement of the Faculty’s professional work.
