IT Students Are Invited to Participate in the HACK Competition
In September 2019, Result together with its partners will organize a 10-day student competition HACK, which will be held in the idyllic atmosphere of the Sava Valley.
The purpose of the event is to enable students from the Computer Science, Informatics, Electrical Engineering and other similar study programmes to solve specific problems of the economy and work with the state-of-the-art technology, thus gaining invaluable experience from the real sector. Besides, the HACK Competition will allow that the partner organizations determine the level of training students as their potential employees. In solving a competitive task, students will be assisted by mentors-experts from Result. The students are offered various software and hardware as well as state-of-the-art technology.
The tasks for the competition are developed by the leading partner of Result – BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o.– one of the leading manufacturers of small household appliances in Europe. Their idea is to introduce additional product quality control already at the time of assembly by using the augmented reality technology within the production process.
The final solution will help employees correctly and efficiently assemble components of the finished products by means of computer vision, object recognition and augmented reality. By analysing all previously collected data and information obtained with the augmented reality technology, they will be able to identify the points with the biggest number of errors occurred, which will simplify the work process for the operator.
The project is a good starting point for innovative students with fresh ideas and critical thinking in order to test their strength in practice and at the same time present themselves to potential employers.
Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until 25 August 2019 (until the last place available) on the. For the selected participants, the organizers will cover the costs of travel, food and accommodation, as well as provide an entertainment programme.
