At the World Taekwondo Championships in Mui (South Korea), the Slovenian national team won a bronze medal.
The beginning of the world championship was unsuccessful for the Slovenes. Right after the starting fights, Ana Petrušić, Dunja Lemajić and Nuša Vujinović laid down their arms. Ivan Trajković saved the honour of the Slovenian team (category of up to 87 kilograms) and took the bronze.

On his way to the bronze medal, Ivan Trajković defeated the current European champion, the Armenian Arman Yeremyan, the American Christian Suh, and in the quarterfinals took the upper hand over the Azerbaijani Ramin Azizov.
