Leading Slovenian Musicians of 2017
Magnifico was the undisputed “king” of Slovenia’s concert halls in 2017 having gathered 12 million spectators in the Ljubljana Stožice Arena. Challe Salle with the composition Lagano occupies the first place among the videos on YouTube in Slovenian (2.6 million views). The composition Heart of Gold by the BQL duo is leading in the SAZAS SloTop50 annual ranking.
The Hamo & Tribute 2 Love band performed the greatest number of concerts (46) last year. The Perpetuum Jazzile Band claimed to receive the prestigious Grammy Award.
The Laibach Band performed the longest tour in Slovenia and abroad in 2017. The most resonant concert of the band took place in South Korea—8,538 km away from Slovenia. The tour, timed to the release of the Also Sprach Zarathustra album, will continue this year.
Dalaj Eegol, Klemen Klemen and Zlatko first performed in the format of a creative Trije Kralji trio. Vlado Kreslin gathered a full house for three consecutive nights in the Cankar Culture Centre. Gal Gjurin announced a release of three studio albums and a book.
