Maribor Festival Receives the IFEA Award

Gold and silver medals were presented to the Lent Festival 2017 at the 62nd Congress of the International Association of Festivals and Events (IFEA).

The awarding ceremony was held in Tucson (USA, Arizona) on 14–16 September. The Maribor Festival was awarded a gold medal for the best advertising leaflet and the best printed material (postcard). The festival received silver medal for the best advertising poster.

IFEA awards festivals from around the world that have shown themselves in the field of promotion and creativity in the entertainment industry. In total, there are 71 categories for awarding. Besides, the main award ‘Grand Pinnacle’ is presented annually for a complex excellent organization of festivals or events. The Lent Festival 2017 was nominated for the award in the category of festivals with a budget of 500 thousand to 1.5 million dollars.

The IFEA is headquartered in Boise (USA, Idaho) and is considered the most authoritative organization that unites and supports specialists in organizing events and festivals from around the world. This is not the first award the Association presents to the Lent Festival.
