Master’s Degree Students from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana Participate in the Developmental Planning of the Slovenian Tourist Destinations

During seminars, as part of the Tourism Policy subject (teacher: Prof. Tanja Mihalič), the students prepared draft tourism development strategies in 4 different destinations under the guidance of assistant Miha Bratc.

In cooperation with representatives of the tour operator Turizem Ljubljana, the Maribor Tourism Centre, the Bela Krajna Information Centre, as well as Hit Alpinea, the following projects were prepared: The Strategy for the Development of Cultural and Gastronomic Tourism in Maribor; The Strategy for the Development of Eco-Wine Tourism in Bela Krajna; The Strategy of Hipsterization and Transition to a Year-round Cycle of Services at the Kranjska Gora Destination; etc.

Following the results of the project presentations, the representatives of the destinations highly appreciated the analytical skills and the developed proposals of the students from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana.
