McDonald’s Dedicates a New Burger to Slovenia
The new “Slovenian” burger is now in the McDonald’s menu. The Kranjska burger appeared yesterday in the menu of the world’s most popular fast food chain. The Kranjska burger is a burger for the “very demanding guests,” the representatives of McDonald’s noted. It includes a beef cutlet complemented with the sausage by the famous Gorenjska manufacturer of meat products—Mesarija Arvaj. Their brand-name product is the Kranjska sausage (‘kranjska klobasa’ in Slovenian), which has been repeatedly recognized the best in Slovenia. Besides the cutlet and sausages, the burger also includes a slice of Emmental cheese, mustard and mustard sauce.
The McDonald’s Slovenija representatives deny that the presentation of the burger is part of the campaign in honour of the Donald Trump’s (and a bit Melania’s) victory in the presidential elections in the United States. According to the restaurateurs, launching a new product on the Slovenian market was planned beforehand.
The world fast food leader in different countries includes local dishes in its menu collaborating with local manufacturers of food products. For example, last year the waffle ice cream from the Kras factory was offered in the Croatia McDonald’s menu.
