National Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for the Development of Human Resources and Scholarships Presents the Project “Creative Way to Practice” 2016–2017
The University of Primorska successfully masters the funds allocated to 26 projects under the open contest “Creative Way to Practice 2016/17” by the National Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for the Development of Human Resources and Scholarships.
From 1 March to 31 July 2017, students together with their mentors (teachers and staff of the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technology of the University of Primorska) as well as the internship leaders (employees of the partner companies/organizations) will participate in the following projects:
Application of Portable FT-NIR Spectrometer in Agriculture (Augmentech, razvoj in trženje IKT, d.o.o.; Agromedica, storitve, prodaja in proizvodnja d.o.o.);
Monitoring of the Origin of Olive Oil in Slovenia on the Basis of Molecular Markers (GardenLab, School of Horticulture, Borut Jerman s.p.);
Concept of an Economically Feasible Business Model for the Sežana Botanical Garden (Komunalno stanovanjsko podjetje d.d. Sežana; KonektOn, Center poslovnih storitev, d.o.o.);
Interactive Modernization of the Škocjan Educational Path with the Virtual, Well Posted and Advanced Digital Content (Panorama grafične dejavnosti, Peter Simončič s.p.; Javni zavod park Škocjanske jame, Slovenija);
Safety of Fish Products — SlediRibi (Omega svetovanje, inženiring, razvoj in raziskovanje, d.o.o.; Biosistemika, raziskave in razvoj, d.o.o.).
The aim of the contest is to promote cooperation and integration of the education system with the economy and the social environment, as well as to develop a wide interaction between them. As part of the projects and due to the innovative interdisciplinary teamwork, the participants will master useful skills, acquire practical knowledge and experience in the business environment of companies and other organizations.
The projects will enable the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technology of the University of Primorska to complement the experience gained during the implementation of the first two contests with the Creative Way to Practice contest, as part of which the Faculty has successfully implemented 17 projects. In total, 101 students and 18 partner organizations participated in these contests.
