New Premises of the Ambulance Centre Are Opened in Ljubljana
The Head of the Centre Hugon Možina notes that the new facilities for emergency medical services will provide an excellent opportunity for development. At the first stage, 15 new nurses, administrators, therapist and five emergency physicians will be employed.
However, the construction of an ambulance clinic will not end there. The third stage of the work, within which a new surgical department will be launched, is yet to come. It is expected that the Ministry will announce a tender for contract work in the spring 2018. The construction itself will last approximately 24 months.
Slovenia’s Prime Minister Miro Cerar said at the opening ceremony that the history of this investment project was the history of the entire health care system in Slovenia. The Minister of Health Care Milojka Kolar Celarc stressed that this investment project was a proof of that it was possible to implement initiatives within the framework of allocated funds and deadlines even within the system of public health care.
