Frika is a national Slovenian dish made of potato with cheese and eggs.
- 40 dkg potatoes
- 60 dkg cheese
- 5 dkg bacon or fat
- 4 eggs
- Peel potatoes, thinly slice, salt and fry them in hot fat or with chopped bacon.
- Crack raw eggs and pour on the chopped (optionally – grated) cheese. Add this mixture to the potatoes and mix.
- When the eggs thicken, flip the omelette over and fry on the other side.
Frika is served with polenta, bread or salad.
