Over 11 Thousand Prospective Students Are Enrolled During the First Round of the University Admissions Process

During the first round of admission campaign, entrants for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes submitted 14,704 applications for 17,399 licensed places during the 2018/2019 academic year, 11,119 of which were approved and enrolled.

Taking into account the number of applications, the University of Primorska has the largest share of enrolled students (84.7%) followed by the University of Maribor (84.5%). The University of Ljubljana has 71.4% of enrolled students, and autonomous higher educational institutions have 81.2% of enrolled students.

Candidates were informed about the admission results by mail until Friday, 27 July 2018. Admission of documents in higher educational institutions will last until 17 August 2018. It should be noted that last year, during the first stage of the university admission process, 14,833 applications were considered and 10,899 entrants were enrolled.

The data on available places for the second round of the university admission process will be published on 21 August 2018 on the eVŠ website. The second round of the university admission process will be held from 22 to 29 August 2018. During the second round, vacant placed can be occupied by the applicants, who did not manage to apply at the first round or were not enrolled to any of the study programmes specified in their first applications, as well as candidates who entered one of the provided study programmes, but were discharged from it before 17 August 2018, inclusive.
