Oxford University Press Publishes a Monograph by an Employee of the University of Nova Gorica

The world-famous publishing house Oxford University Press, 10 years after the first edition, has published the second scientific monograph by Prof. Dr Tanja Pipan, an employee of the University of Nova Gorica and the Institute of Karst Studies at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Postojna).

The monograph entitled The Biology of Caves and Other Subterranean Habitats is the result of many years of collaboration with world-famous scientists in biology and evolution of subterranean organisms and habitats – Prof. Dr David C. Culver from the American University (Washington, DC).

The book was first published in 2009. In 2014, the same co-authors and the publisher published the monograph Shallow Subterranean Habitats: Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation. The second (supplemented, revised and improved) edition of the first-mentioned book is the result of excellent reviews from readers.
