Paris Saint-Germain F.C. Wants to Buy the Best Slovenian Goalkeeper for 100 Million Euros
On coming Saturday, the representatives of the Europe’s richest football team and the champion of France will meet with the agent of the 24-year-old Slovenian football player Jan Oblak.
Currently, the goalkeeper has a continuing contract with Atletico, which is valid until 2022. The amount of compensation to the club for its early termination is 100 million euros.
If Oblak’s leaving becomes a reality, it will be the third most expensive in the history of world football player transfer. The Paris Saint-Germain F.C., which has recently bought the star Brazilian Neymar from Barcelona, proves that this sum is not such a problem for the Club.
In the list of the most expensive football transfers, the Slovenian goalkeeper is second only to a likely future partner Neymar (222 million euros) and Paul Labile Pogba (105 million euros paid by Manchester United to Juventus last year).
It is known that the Parisians are unhappy with the play of their current goalkeepers. The German Kevin Trapp and the Frenchman Alphonse Areola are the top-level goalkeepers. However, according to the head coach of the Parisians, Unai Emery, they do not have those qualities, which would allow the team to fight for the prestigious European trophies.
