Pofaláča – Yeast Dough Pastry


Yeast dough:

  1. 500 g flour (250 g fine flour and 250 g wholemeal flour),
  2. 30 g yeast,
  3. 10 g salt,
  4. 1 tbsp. sugar,
  5. 1–2 eggs,
  6. butter,
  7. 250 mL milk.


  1. boiled eggs,
  2. bacon crisps (optional),
  3. chopped onions.


Use the ingredients to knead the dough of medium softness and leave it to rise. Roll out the raised dough into a 1.5–2 cm thick layer and put it onto a buttered baking sheet.

Roll up the dough edges. Cover the dough with bacon crisps and boiled eggs, and then sprinkle with chopped onions. Bake Pofaláča in the oven at a temperature of 200 °C until golden brown.
