International business and sustainable development

ECTS: 120 credits ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) - is an European system for translation and accumulation of points/results. This system was created for recording the academic work of students during an educational programme or course. One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS points, which is about 1500-1800 study hours.
About the programme
The main objective of the MA International Business and Sustainable Development is to educate graduates who will be able to perform professional and managerial tasks in different organisation systems, especially in enterprises, in public sector and in other institutions that are involved in international cooperation. Beside basic professional-theoretical knowledge in the business area the students acquire also specific knowledge necessary for work in the international business and develop competencies for understanding of sustainable development as opportunity for better work.
Students are included in the scientific and research work in the partners' research and university institutions, in organizations of the economic and non-economic sectors. Students are introduced in the research work by professors who deal with scientific and research problems within their subject areas; and by professors of partners' research institutions.They are encouraged to participate in conferences and publish articles in domestic and international magazines.
Business School is a member of the UN Global Compact and thus connected with numerous institutions and enterprises in Slovenia and abroad who strive to incorporate the principles of sustainable development and can include students in numerous projects.
Students can register for the first year if they:
– Completed a BA programme from appropriate areas;
– Completed equivalent study programmes from other areas and made additional study obligations of 10 ECTS.Study programme committee will determine which additional study obligations the applicants need to take before enrolment.
The Slovene Language Certificate is not required to enrol on this programme in Slovene.
English Language Requirements for Foreign Students: the general minimum level of English language skills required is B2.
After graduation from international business you will be able to work in all areas of business, such as organization of international events, finance, marketing, foreign market research, corporate governance, international advertising, human resources management in international companies, operational work in the diplomatic service, management of departments and international services, work abroad, international volunteer work etc. New orientation of international business and public administration are a good option for educating employees in modern public administration and in public companies.
