  5. ECTS: 120 credits
    ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) - is an European system for translation and accumulation of points/results. This system was created for recording the academic work of students during an educational programme or course. One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS points, which is about 1500-1800 study hours.

About the programme

The environmental sector is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in Europe, and it is especially relevant for the green jobs sector in the areas of environmental protection, organic farming, forest-wood chains, renewable energy sources and sustainable tourism.

We live in a time that requires a more responsible way of dealing with the environment, a thoughtful exploitation of natural resources, an increase in the share of renewable energy sources and the introduction of environmental protection measures in all areas of economic activity.

Your knowledge will be desirable in the field of preventive management and conservation of nature, management of natural resources, protection of biodiversity, natural values and eco-remediation, maintenance of natural balance and remediation of water, air and soil.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements for the first year:

  • a. passed the final examination (secondary school); or
  • b. passed the vocational final examination;
  • c. successfully completed a full secondary school (before there were final exam).

Employment prospects

Graduate employment opportunities:

Graduates of the Nature Conservation programme can be employed in environmental agencies, environmental institutes, regional and landscape parks, central and plant purification plants, in the field of renewable energy sources, development agencies, in the local community in connection with the regulatory plans and development trends, as lab-experts etc.
