On 21 September 2018, the uniform subsidized travel passes for using urban public transport by students of gymnasiums, secondary schools and universities went on sale. This will allow children to get to the place of study more conveniently. To apply for receiving a travel pass, use an electronic signature on the eUprava website.
As compared to 2017, prices have not changed. The main subsidized monthly travel pass is provided for students who travel daily from the place of permanent residence to the place of study, overcoming a distance of more than two kilometres. The cost of the travel pass depends on the number of kilometres.
A monthly travel pass for up to 60 kilometres costs 25 EUR, from 60 to 90 kilometres – 35 EUR, for over 90 kilometres – 55 EUR.
Those who need to make 10 trips per month from the place of residence to the place of study can buy a 10-trips travel pass for 20 EUR.
Persons entitled to a subsidized travel pass can also purchase a standard travel pass for a certain surcharge. In Ljubljana, the surcharge is 10 EUR, in Maribor – 5 EUR, in Jesenice – 15 EUR.
Anyone who buys a travel pass for the first time should fill out an application on thewebsite using an electronic signature. Then, in the Moja eUprava section, a confirmation and approval of the application should be received. Having printed out the application or its number, a student can receive a travel pass at a bus station of required city paying a certain amount for it.
If a student or a pupil is already using a travel pass, they will need to fill out an application for renewal on thewebsite using an electronic signature. In the Moja eUprava section, they will receive confirmation and approval of the application and its code, through which they will be able to purchase a travel pass on the Internet from an operator of subsidized transportation with a possibility of online payments.
Those who are already using the electronic card will be able to automatically download the travel pass after the first use of the IJPP mobile terminal. Those who purchase the travel pass for the first time will need to personally receive it at one of the carriers’ sales outlets.
