Pupils of Slovenian Gymnasiums Win the International Linguistics Olympiad in South Korea

A team of students from Slovenian gymnasiums won a gold medal at the 17th International Linguistics Olympiad held from 29 July to 2 August 2019 in Yongin, South Korea. This was reported by the Union of Technical Culture of Slovenia.

In total, 54 teams from 36 countries competed at the Olympiad in the team and individual standings. Slovenia was represented by Ana Meta Dolinar (Bežigrad Gymnasium), Ana Luetić (Vič Gymnasium), Rok Tadej Brunšek (Gymnasium at the Velenje Education Centre), and Sebastian Kordiš (Škofja Loka Gymnasium).

The team gold was further confirmed by individual achievements. Thus, Rok Tadej Brunšek won a bronze medal, Ana Meta Dolinar and Sebastian Kordiš received diplomas for the achieved result. Besides, Ana Meta Dolinar was awarded the prize for the best task solution.
