Representatives of Alma Mater Europaea Take Part in the Young EU Voices Project to Promote Cancer Prevention

Students and teachers of Alma Mater Europaea in collaboration with the television channel AS (Murska Sobota) have successfully completed the Young EU Voices project. They recorded a series of three TV programmes on Pan-European screening plans for early detection and prevention of cancer.

In March and April 2019, the students of the Social Gerontology and Physiotherapy study programmes held interviews with specialists in screening plans and medical policy in Slovenia and in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The 20-minute TV programmes are broadcast on local Slovenian television channels during the time devoted to preparation for the elections to the European Parliament. They aim at increasing people’s awareness about cancer and its prevention, as well as about the activities and the role of European institutions in solving this problem.
