Santa Claus Arrives in Ljubljana

Santa Claus came to Ljubljana from near Triglav. More than a thousand people met his carriage harnessed with the Lipizzan horses on the streets of the capital. Accompanied by dancers, snowmen, bears and other heroes of folk tales, Santa Claus strolled along the historic centre of the city.

Until Saturday, 30 December, everyone will have a chance to talk with Santa Claus. A joint walk starts daily at 5:00 p.m. near Breg, runs along the traditional route with stops in front of the Town Hall and at the Prešeren and Congress Squares. It lasts about 2 hours.

On Sunday, Santa Claus will be a guest at the New Year’s Eve party—Silvestrovanje for children. The fest will begin on the Congress Square at 4 p.m.

A walk with Santa Claus is one of the December in Ljubljana Festival events, taking place from the end of November 2017 to 1 January 2018.
