Slovene Jan Oblak Is the Best Goalkeeper of the Season 2015/2016 in Spain

The Slovene Jan Oblak was awarded the title of the Spain’s Championship best goalkeeper in the season 2015/2016. He missed only 18 goals in 38 games as a member of the Madrid “Atletico”.

A 23-year-old native of Škofja Loka Oblak perfectly proved himself in the Champions League, where his club reached the finals. In the decisive match at the Milan’s stadium “San Siro”, the “Atletico” lost the “Real” in the penalty shootouts.

The goalkeeper of the national team of Slovenia parried 82 kicks for 3,420 minutes spent in the net. The “Atletico” footballers took the third place in the Championship of Spain, yielding ahead only the “Barcelona” and the “Real”.
