Slovene Vita Lukan Becomes the World Champion Among Youth in Sport Climbing
17-year-old Vita Lukan from Radovljica is the world champion among youth in sport climbing (the lead climbing category) and a bronze medalist in the bouldering category. The world championship held in Moscow ended on 16 August 2018.
The Slovenian national team returned from Moscow with five medals. Thus, Luka Potočar became the vice-champion of the world among cadets in the lead climbing category. Urška Repušič and Lučka Rakovec also won silver medals in the bouldering category.
It should be noted that this year, Vita Lukan has also become the vice-champion of Europe among youth in sport climbing, and in October 2018, she will represent Slovenia at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
