Slovene Wins the Motocross Grand Prix of Sweden

The MXGP race took place in Uddevalla. According to the results of two stages, the current world champion Tim Gajser confirmed his leader status.

In the first race of this World Cup stage, he was the first to finish, and in the second stage, he came slightly second to Romain Febrve. This is Gajser’s third success in this season. Previously, he celebrated victories at the Grand Prix of Mexico and Argentina.

Even before the start of the competition, the current world champion had high hopes for the Swedish Grand Prix, where a couple of years ago he had already won the key victory of the season.

Besides Gajser with 47 ranking points, the French Romain Febrve (silver) and Gautier Paulin (bronze) also got on the podium. The leader of the overall standings of the World Championship, Italian Antonio Cairoli, came the seventh to the race finish.

The Italian Antonio Cairoli, who, despite the 7th place at the Swedish Grand Prix, has 631 points in his account, is still confidently leading in the overall standings of the World Cup. Jeffrey Herlings (Holland) is the second with 530 points and Gautier Paulin (France) is the third with 526 points. Tim Gajser is the fifth with 453 points in the current ranking.

The next race will take place on 3 September in Jacksonville (USA).
