Slovenia Allocates 100 Million Euros to Repair the Railway Track on the Grosuplje-Kočevje Section

The repair works have already started. It is planned to complete the repair and modernization of the railway road by the end of next year.

To date, the builders have installed several hundred meters of rails near the Otavice settlement. On the remaining 8 km to the final destination, the upper and lower structures of the railway track are being replaced.

An agreement with the Kolektor Company (Idrija) was signed last year. It states that the Grosuplje-Kočevje road section should be repaired by the end of 2018. At the same time, passenger and cargo transportation will be restarted soon.

The Department of Infrastructure reports that the total budget for the repair work makes approximately 100 million euros.
