Slovenia Became a State Partner of ITB Berlin, the World’s Largest Tourism Trade Fair
Slovenia, which received the status of a state partner, will play a special role at the world’s largest tourism trade fair ITB Berlin 2017. This opens up additional possibilities to Slovenia of advertising and promoting its market offer.
From 8 to 12 March 2017, Slovenia will act as an official Convention & Culture Partner of the tourism trade fair in Berlin.
David Ruetz, the director of the ITB Berlin Tourism Trade Fair, commented on the fact of Slovenia’s acquisition of the official status of Convention & Culture Partner. He expressed support for Slovenia, noting the rightfulness of that the young country, which is currently experiencing a rise in economy, will act as the trade fair’s partner in 2017. He described Slovenia as a region where different cultural traditions are harmoniously combined. This, in his opinion, determines the attractiveness and uniqueness of this country, which is visited by an increasing number of tourists. David Ruetz added, “We believe that the presentation at the ITB Berlin Trade Fair will become an additional factor in the growth of Slovenia”.
The staff of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) will represent Slovenia and its tourism industry at the ITB Berlin 2017 Trade Fair. The presentation will be held within the framework of the intensive exchange program consisting of a series of conferences and other events at the I FEEL SLOVENIA stand. The main topics of presentation will be the Slovenian culture and resort infrastructure. Within the framework of the already traditional ITB Berlin 2017 Trade Fair, Slovenia will thus organize an extended presentation of its tourist offer and infrastructure and negotiate with its potential partners.
This event is a fact of the international recognition of its resort potential, because the ITB Berlin Trade Fair organizers choose partners from among the most attractive tourist sites around the world.
At the last year’s International ITB Berlin 2015 Tourism Trade Fair, Slovenia was awarded the Patwa prize as the fastest growing tourist site and received awards for commercial videos about the country and its tourist potential.
The ITB Berlin Tourism Trade Fair annually brings together about 10,000 participants, while being an important information platform, because it is visited by an average of more than 6,000 journalists, half of which represent foreign editions.
