Slovenia Is Among the World’s Safest Countries – Global Finance Magazine Ranking
According to the Global Finance Magazine ranking, Slovenia with an index of 7.44 is ranked 12th among the 128 countries of the world included in the ranking. Only Iceland, Switzerland, Finland, Portugal, Austria, Norway, Qatar, Singapore, Denmark, New Zealand, and Canada have a higher safety index.
Experts from the World Economic Forum and the World Peace Institute participated in the preparation of the ranking.
The key criteria for ranking countries included the level of crime, the level of terrorism, the presence (absence) of hostilities. The first 16 countries presented in the ranking are located in Europe.
According to the authors of the ranking, the safety index is directly related to high rates of economic development, the risk of natural disasters, the microclimate in society, and the quality of medical services.
